Focus on Funding

The “Focus on Funding” workshop held on 16th July 2004 at the Jury’s Inn, Croydon concentrated on how to access co-financing funding. The agenda included early briefings from co-financing organisations on their funding proposals for 2004. Among the guest speakers were Rachel Hodson (ESF Manager, LSLSC), Julian Saunders (Development Manager, South London Connexions), Stephen Boon (GLE, for the ALG funding) and Shola Osinowo (Employment Advisor, LVSTC).

Information on Business link for London, Job Centre Plus and LDA co-financing funding was made available to delegates in their conference packs as representatives from these organisations were unable to attend on the day.

Informative question and answer sessions proceeded individual speaker presentations and attendees were updated about future events on funding proposals. Members of the voluntary and community sector were then able to network with their peers over an informal buffet lunch.

Evaluation forms completed on the day revealed that 94% of respondents felt the workshop had addressed the relevant areas attendees were expecting.
