The South London CVS Partnership is identifying organisations who can provide pro-bono services to the sector in South London.

LawWorks for Community Groups was launched in 2002 and act as a referral agency, matching small community groups, charities and social enterprises who cannot afford to pay for legal advice with lawyers who will provide the legal assistance on a pro bono (free) basis.  They are focused towards helping community groups that benefit deprived communities.

New Discrimination Project at Camden Community Law Centre

Camden Community Law Centre have recently started a new discrimination project, funded by the Equalities and Human Rights Commission.

A solicitor at the Law Centre now provides free advice and assistance in all areas of discrimination – other than employment. This includes discrimination in relation to the provision of goods and services, premises and public authorities (including education, health, police, housing and social services).

The project covers discrimination on the grounds of race, sex, pregnancy, disability, sexual orientation, gender reassignment and religion or belief and can assist those living, working or studying in the London boroughs of Camden, Islington, Barnet, Haringey, Enfield, Croydon, Kingston, Merton, Richmond, Sutton and Wandsworth.  Representation in discrimination cases is also provided.
