Celebrating Community Learning

The Celebrating Community Learning event took place on Tuesday 14th December at the prestigious Braithwaite Hall, situated within Croydon Clock tower. This hugely successful event was attended by over 110 delegates and marked the achievements of several cross borough community learning projects, recognising particular groups and individuals who have excelled.

Richard Carter (Chair, London South LSC) welcomed everyone to this free event and introduced the groups and projects being showcased.

Guests were then invited to visit the project stands, see examples of people’s work and speak to learners and project workers alike in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.

This open, friendly forum encouraged the sharing of good practice and provided a comfortable environment for attendees to network.

Lola Barrett (Director, Grenfell Housing, Councillor LSLSC and Chair MVSC) presentated the Learner Achievement Awards .

A complementary light buffet lunch concluded the morning’s activities and provided guests with further opportunity to network.
