The South London Partnership

The South London Partnership (SLP), the strategic partnership for the south London sub-region, is an influential umbrella group of organisations and local authorities (*). Its purpose is to raise south London’s profile; to help south London speak with an authoritative voice when appropriate and to lobby for investment in south London.

The South London Partnership is one of five sub-regional strategic London partnerships, which works with key regional bodies such as the Greater London Authority (GLA); London Development Agency (LDA); Transport for London (TfL) and Government Office for London (GOL).

Comprising of 16 Partners from private, public, education, business and health sectors, the South London Partnership aims to:

• seek solutions to common problems across south London’s communities
• provide an authoritative voice for south London
• explore the implications of government & GLA initiatives
• expand and sustain a stable and skilled workforce for south London
• support the communities’ housing, education, leisure & transport needs
• develop the sub-region’s own economy

The South London CVS Partnership are not currently a member of the South London Partnership. However, it is a priority for the Partnership to develop this relationship over the next two years in light of their role and to ensure the role and contribution the VCS currently play to support their objectives is recognised and included in future developments. The South London Partnership is also a key group through which the CVS Partnership can achieve its ambitious Business Plan.
