Small Firms' Learning AccountTarget group: 100 small to medium voluntary and community groups Project start date: September 2003 - October 2004 Aim: The aim of the project was to enable small and medium enterprises (i.e. 5-250 employees, including volunteers for the V&C sector) to improve their practice around workforce development by providing training funds for staff and volunteers to attend training courses relevant to their work. 100 organisations across the 6 Partnership boroughs benefited and each organisation received £500. Organisations had to complete a registration form and training plan documenting how staff training related to the organisations overall objectives in their Business Plan. The overall project was managed by the Centre for Enterprise. Other partners included Learndirect, Business Link 4 London, Kinesis and Construction Industry Training Board.
