London has switched over!

Digit Al character imageTV across the UK is going digital. This means the existing analogue TV signal will be switched off and replaced with a new, stronger digital TV signal. The London TV region completed switchover to digital on 18 April 2012. Read the SLCVSP Impact report here.

South London CVS Partnership was awarded a contract to help reach vulnerable groups of people through talks, presentations and advice points at community venues across South London. This project has now finished, however, there is ongoing support for the next year from the Switchover Help Scheme. The deadline for registration for the Help Scheme is 18 May 2012 and help will be available for the following 12 months up until May 2013, once registered.

About the Switchover Help Scheme

The Switchover Help Scheme is run by the BBC, under an agreement with the Government to help older and disabled people make the change to digital TV. Every eligible person will be offered practical help to convert one of their TV sets to digital in the run-up to switchover in each region.
