The biggest Council for Voluntary Service (CVS) within our Partnership and one of the largest in the country, Croydon Voluntary Action (CVA) is notable for the range of projects it undertakes. With a diverse population and voluntary, community and faith sectors, examples include an active Community Empowerment Network, detailed training programme and managed workspace and meeting venues- most notably their new Resource Centre close to West Croydon station.
Croydon Voluntary Action contains a Volunteer Centre and works closely with its partner support organisations, Croydon's Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) Forum and Asian Resource Centre. Making the most of their greater size, they are the lead CVS for a Community Accountancy partnership project across a number of boroughs which provides training and advice on financial management to voluntary and community groups in Bromley, Croydon, Lambeth and Merton.
